    Description

    Applied for June, 1866; patent application number is 59228 and the remnants of the original application U.S. Patent Office tag remains with the item. The model is in the form of a rolling toothless cylinder which is mounted to an L-shaped wood frame. The purpose of this cylinder would be to tow it behind an oyster boat and it would put the loosened oysters onto the platform beneath.
